At Gideon’s Source of Kansas, we’re more than electricians—we’re your partners in powering homes, businesses, and communities across South-Central Kansas with safe, honest, and reliable electrical work.

Local Roots, Lasting Relationships
Our Story
We are a family-owned and operated electrical contractor, we pride ourselves in our work, and we offer commercial and residential services. Our company’s name, Gideon’s Source, reflects our Christian philosophy. In chapter six of the Book of Judges in the Bible, a story is told about a humble individual who became mighty among his people when he learned to depend upon God for guidance. His name was Gideon and God became his source of strength: therefore, the name Gideon’s Source was created and incorporated in 2000 and in 2010 Gideon’s Source of Kansas became incorporated. We are licensed, bonded, and insured. We are also members Derby Chamber of Commerce and Independent Electrical Contractors, serving Wichita Kansas and the surrounding areas.

I thought the price was a little too steep, but it is what it is. Excellent work.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I was originally wanting a new dedicated circuit installed. When they arrived they looked over the location and let me know of an alternate way to get the same results I wanted and at a lower cost than originally estimated. Work was done very quickly and very honestly by telling me other ways to meet my electrical needs without trying to upsell me on unnecessary upgrades. Great work, would recommend

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Jay came out and not only helped us by installing an outlet in our crawlspace but also went out of his way to identify a leak we had that had nothing to do with electrical work, which our home inspector had missed. We appreciate their quality of work and expertise to go above and beyond in identifying areas of concern outside of their scope and fitting us in their schedule as promptly as they could!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Very professional and friendly! When we asked to add things to the bid partway through, they were very accommodating. I never felt talked down to or like I was an inconvenience for asking something dumb. Very happy with the work they did!
